Ukulele

Tutor:  Darren Loughran, MMus,

Darren Loughran is an Irish classical guitarist and music teacher from Dublin.  Having begun his musical studies at an early age. He started on wind instruments and then progressed to the guitar in his early teens.  Darren furthered his studies on the guitar in the Dublin Conservatory of Music, under the tutelage of Alan Grundy and later world renowned guitarist Denis
Azabagic before going on to receive a Masters Degree in performance and musicology in Maynooth University.

Aside from teaching Darren enjoys an active performance career in solo classical guitar recitals in Ireland and abroad.

Following on from the very successful years of ‘Ukulele for Beginners’, The Peoples College now offer an ‘Intermediate Ukulele’ class, to continue where the beginner’s class finished off.

Since this class is for those who can already play, the goal here is to form ‘The People’s College Ukulele Orchestra’.

The College envisions a class which will introduce more advanced techniques and present ensemble music which will ultimately lead to the first People’s College Ukulele Orchestra.

All are welcome.  This is a 24 week course
