Facilitator: Micheline Egan (MA; MFA) is a confidence specialist who has worked in the field of mental health since 1992. Through her training business www. simplyconfidence.ie she has worked with Teagasc, The Courts Service and lectured in UCD, Maynooth and UCC.  Micheline invented the term ONE GOOD ADULT during her time with Jigsaw - The National Centre for youth mental health.

From working closely with more than 14,000 learners she feels that confidence is often the missing ingredient from many people’s lives and their paths to success and happiness.

This is a 12-week series of 90-minute workshops. This course will suit anyone who is looking to feel better in their daily lives. It is an interactive, self-development course which will introduce strategies for the practice of improving essential life skills, using the tools of positive psychology. It will demonstrate how changing our approach and attitude to life can achieve real and sustainable improvement, boosting our self-esteem, confidence-building, resilience, emotional intelligence and much more! Working on our confidence helps us become happier, more optimistic and motivated. The course will be delivered in a calm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Stress and anxiety are part of everyday life. When severe, it can have a debilitating effect on many people’s lives. Poor occupational functioning can often be a result of stress.

Learning how to identify potential stressors will help in developing a positive outcome. It will also show us how to take responsibility for stress and make us more stress hardy.
