This short course is designed for students who already have a basic command of the language and
wish to refresh their knowledge and oral skills before visiting a French-speaking country.
The course will be practical (videos, vocabulary, role-plays…) and focus on holiday situations such as:
Meeting people and introducing oneself, greetings, alphabet and a civilisation quiz
Getting around a place: directions, public transports, buying tickets, shops
Going to a hotel or a restaurant,
Learning numbers
Going to the tourist office and asking for information on tourist attractions
Discussing the weather, learning the time
Getting by when encountering issues like illness or accidents (pharmacy), lost property…
Grammar topics covered will include: the present tense, asking questions, how to use negation in sentences
Thursday Evening: Time: 5.30pm-7pm. 6 classes Cost: €60
